Wilmington Lodge: At Wilmington, in the Mid North Region of South Australia

Wilmington Lodge provides the holiday maker, long term guest and business person with quiet comfortable accommodation.

The Lodge is a spacious bed and breakfast facility which also provides for those looking to stay and rest awhile in the delightful town of Wilmington, formerly known as Beautiful Valley (and for good reason).

We provide a generous continental breakfast for our guests, which is included in the tariff.

Our facilities also provide for interest groups to conduct their workshops and seminars in our large all-purpose room.

This delightful area caters for the tourist looking to explore the wonderful natural sights. These include Alligator Gorge; the lookouts - Hancock's Lookout is probably the best known with a spectacular view of Spencer Gulf and the Port Augusta area; or to take a leisurely stroll up the Mt Maria walking trail and enjoy panoramic views of Wilmington.

For the more energetic there are more challenging walks. A section of the Heysen Trail associated with Wilmington begins at the Horrocks Memorial and goes through to the summit of Mt. Brown.

We are also able to offer bikes for hire. A section of The Mawson Trail designed for cyclists, travels north through Wilmington along the Gunyah Road. Picnic lunches can be provided upon request.

Other extras provided are special interest weekends, accommodation and photo opportunities for wedding parties and special occasions.

The amenities of the town include Barbecues, Picnic Grounds, two Service Stations, Post Office, Supermarket, Hotel and Fast food cafe. There is access to numerous sporting facilities including Lawn Bowls, Cricket, Football, Netball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball and an 18-hole golf course situated at the base of Mt Maria.

In fact, in Wilmington we have just about everything including a toy museum.
