At times the challenge of unearthing top quality sweets and chocolates can be difficult. Many of us are familiar with the dangers associated with consuming below-par produce, such as the upset tummy and toothache.

Introducing Mannum’s very own Sweet Affection. Here the bone fide sugary experience can be found; the only assured side affect being a fully satisfied palate.

Operator Annette Taylor creates most of the delicious products stocked in Sweet Affection. In the past, she supplied the previous owner with her sweet goodies.

These days Annette has graduated to running the shop and kitchen entirely on her own. Sweet Affection has since become a Mecca for sweet tooths.

Annette has many flourishing lines. Her handmade peanut brittle, coconut ice, marzipan and truffles (particularly the rum variety), are ever popular with lolly enthusiasts. However to interest the serious sweet connoisseur, Sweet Affection stocks some special products such as Dutch liquorice.

Annette is renowned for her wonderful homemade, chocolate-based fudge (with mouth watering flavours such as caramel, ginger, apricot, jaffa and double-choc fudge, to mention but a few).

If you so desire, Annette can create lollies specifically to your own design. In fact she is often asked to make “rude chocolates”, as she politely puts it. Customers can rest assured that Annette, as yet, has not refused to make any of them.

Sweet Affection has gift vouchers available and they make the perfect gift for birthdays, Christmas and other special occasions. Annette also offers a range of scrumptious gift packs. These can be themed, such as the chocolate, nut or boiled sweet packs, or can be an assortment of products. If the mood takes you, design your own basket with anything you fancy.
