Salter's Kitchen is an integral part of the Saltram Winery complex, located in the heart of the Barossa. With its heritage character and unique gabled tasting bar it is one of Australia's finest regional restaurants, making it an essential place to visit and discover some of the regions outstanding food and wine.

Situated at Salters Gully, on the Nuriootpa Road at the approach to the historic township of Angaston, the Saltram winery is one of the region's oldest, with the historic Mamre Brook House proudly 'watching guard' over its 150 years of winemaking heritage.

The team at Salter's Kitchen believe there should never be a time limit to the enjoyment of good food and wine, and are proud to offer the 'Barossa's Best Food and Wine Experience' at any time of the day.

The menu at Salters Kitchen can be broadly described as modern Australian, The menu changes according to availability of produce which Stuart Oldfield, Executive Chef, sources direct from a wide range of South Australia's leading fresh food and produce suppliers.

Seating is available in the light and airy restaurant, and also most days on our Terrace, under the shade of a market umbrella overlooking the Mamre Brook house.

Our restaurant is open for lunch 7 days a week from 12 noon, and for dinner from 6.00pm Friday and Saturday. Brunch is served from 10.00am every Sunday morning and excellent coffee and cake is available any time of the day.

Utilising special event rooms within the winery, Saltram offers beautiful surrounds and an expert team to arrange your next occasion. Whether it is a conference, or celebrating a wedding or special birthday, we can tailor an event to your needs and budget, all in the unique setting and ageless walls of this historic Barossa winery.

Dolan's Den offers a wonderfully intimate setting for small cocktail parties or a dinner gathering, whilst Grey Floor caters for the bigger event or celebration.
