The Rising Sun Hotel reputation for excellence began in the late 1800's. Manager and head chef, Mark Taylor has used all his 23 years experience in hospitality to further enhance the hotel's landmark standing.

Modern Dining
"We offer substantial meals from 12 noon till late". Dining is available in the Saloon Bistro, Stables Restaurant and outdoors under the verandah. The a-la-carte menu us both contemporary and innovative from warm peppered beef salad or maybe brown sugared duck shanks to all time favourites such as schnitzel, steak, coopers beer battered fish and a comprehensive children's menu. Desserts include tart citron with caramelized seasonal fruits, walnut and pear steamed pudding, cheese plate with quince paste and crackers.

The Supper Club
Menu ranges from toasted sandwiches and pizza to spaghetti bolognaise to beef stroganoff to chicken chasseur and not to forget espresso coffee and cake.

Lunch and Dinner bookings are advisable.

Fine Wines and Ales
True to its heritage status, the Rising Sun's wine list continues to focus on the elegant and long lived wines of Clare Valley with some of the stand out vintages available. A selection of the best wines of other significant wineries is also offered. Similarly the ales and beers are of high quality. Cooper, SA Brewing and Pikes of Oakbank provide local flavours among a number of interstate and o overseas brews.

Fine brews also extend to coffee. Mahalia blend number four, a full flavoured rich coffee from South Australia compliments your port or cake of both perfectly.

Popular with international and interstate guests, The Rising Sun Hotel has 10 spacious suites, 6 Charming provincial style hotel rooms with ensuite bathroom facilities, each sleeps 2 and 4 cottage style Mews with stylish interior outfits fully self contained with ensuite facilities each sleeps 2.

The Ultimate Pampered Package
Accommodation with a three course meal, continental breakfast and relaxing massage for two (prior arrangement required). Mews Room Deluxe $350 Mews Rooms 2, 3 and 4 - $330. Hotel Rooms 1-6 - $300

Single room rates does not apply on Fri/Sat nights or the Sunday nights of long week-ends.

We specialize in providing unique event management which can be as simple as drinks and stylish nibbles for small groups, to large weddings with all the trimmings.

Our Manager/Chef Mark Taylor has had many years of catering experience. His creative talents, skill and level of care always ensure that we can create a special occasion for both intimate and large gatherings.

We have a number of different areas within the hotel that can cater for your event. This includes our Dining Room Saloon or Alfresco Dining at from of our beautiful Hotel or the Stables.

We can assist you with styling your event including room and table decorations, flowers and seating arrangements.

We also have a range of accommodation options should you wish to stay on site.
