Richmond Grove Winery Richmond Grove - a very special place!: In the Barossa Valley region of South Australia

One of the Barossa Valley's most picturesque and historic wineries, Richmond Grove nestles in a natural amphitheatre on the undulating banks of the North Para River, which meanders past the outskirts of the quaint old town of Tanunda.

Built in the style of a medieval Flemish 'chateau', complete with massive turrets and copper spires, the imposing winery stands graciously in a peaceful parkland setting, among statuesque old eucalypts. Further afield, are the rich seasonal colours of superbly - maintained vineyards.

Richmond Grove began life more than a century ago in 1897 when Ernst Gottlieb Hoffman began making wine under the Orange Grove label and the winery has been producing wine ever since.

Over the past century the winery has undergone many changes, yet it has always maintained its grandeur and prominence in producing wines of exceptional quality.

At Richmond Grove we believe that to make the best wine, the grapes must be selected from the regions most suited to that particular grape variety. For this reason we source our grapes from across Australia's most renowned wine making districts to create a portfolio of wines that showcase the distinctive characters of geographical regions within Australia.

Atop the Richmond Grove hand made copper spire, a Black Hawk weathervane reflects local winelore. It also encapsulates the Richmond Grove philosophy of traveling to all areas of Australia to source the best grapes to make the best wines.
