Mannum Caravan Park

On the Banks of the River Murray with it"s shady gum trees and bird life, you will find the Mannum Caravan Park. The park is just 84 kilometers from Adelaide and is the ideal place to relax. The river bank is an excellent place for bird watching and photography. You can watch the paddlesteamer "Marion" steaming past and who could forget the sight of the "Proud Mary" cruising by. You would go anywhere in the world to see sights like these. Mannum Caravan Park"s layout is one of the best in South Australia, with first class amenities and the Park"s management, Peter & Val Stevens, living on site full time and providing holiday makers with excellent service at all times. The river bank location provides excellent boat launching facilities and areas for launching a canoe as well as many quite spots for fishing or enjoying the cool night air on an evening walk around the park. There are powered sites that overlook the Hermann Gass Bird Sanctuary which teems with native birdlife and these birds quite often wander through the park, delighting the guests. En-suite cabins also overlook the beauty of the river and the sanctuary, and you can sit on the lawns and watch the bird life and the river traffic go by. To add to the old style feel of the Park, guests may bring a properly constructed fire bucket to allow them to gather around a night fire and toast marshmellows and feed the possums.

The Mannum Caravan Park is located at the end of the main street and guests are able to enjoy the local eateries and local old wares shops, which are within easy walking distance. Winner of the Big River Country Tourism Award for the best Caravan Park in Big River Country, Mannum Caravan Park has a "4" Star Rating RAA Caravan Park and a "3" Star Rating for Units. Powered sites are $13.50 per night, En-suite units $45 per night and River front units $50 per night. The park has launching facilities for water skiing, fishing, canoeing or cruising the river. The Easter Bunny finds his way to the Park and even Santa Claus comes around on Christmas Eve, and all the kids, big and little, line up for a free ice cream on the Australia Day Weekend.
