Magic of Port Adelaide
Over the years Postcards has been a regular visitor to Port Adelaide, and with good reason. The Port's architectural heritage has drawn many admirers to one of the most historic parts of our city. But familiarity can breed contempt, and for some of us the beauty of what's so close and accessible doesn't become readily apparent until viewed through the eyes of another. F.B. Fudara is a recent arrival to Adelaide having left Sarajevo in Bosnia where he worked as a cameraman.
Now he's a freelance photographer and graphic designer, with work on show at the Todd Street Business Chambers, a venture aimed at nurturing local small businesses. It's taken F.B. Fudura under its wing, and now he's let his imagination take flight with a selection of photos of the Port. Over the past two years Fudara has captured the various moods of the Port and nearby Semaphore. And along the way has snapped some intriguing shots like a mermaid in full flight during Semaphore's annual kit festival, and an ocean liner in apparent dry dock. For him, what we take for granted, is often strangely wonderful.
F.B. Fudara's photographic view of the Port is on show at the Todd Street Business Chambers. It's open to the public Monday to Friday from 12 noon until 2.00pm.
