Loxton Club: At Loxton in the Riverland region of South Australia

Renowned for its wonderful community spirit is the Riverland township of Loxton. The Loxton Club also plays an important role in fostering that regional character.

Boasting many members, the Loxton Club operates under a popular loyalty points scheme. Members simply accrue points by purchasing meals, takeaway alcohol or by swiping their card through the pokies card-reader. Additionally, when members register their card through the electronic ‘doorman’, they receive bonus points and the chance to win prizes at random.

The points earned eventually grant members entry into competitions (booty ranging from electrical goods to holidays), and permit access to the member’s only happy hour. Undoubtedly the most successful aspect of the system is that points can be redeemed in exchange for meals and drinks.

Popular as a social hot spot, the Loxton Club hosts ‘DJ Nightclub’ nights every Friday. On a regular basis, the Club also invites DJs from Adelaide nightclub ‘The Planet’ or from Sydney to perform. It’s a safe venue for underage entertainment as wristbands identify patrons of drinking age.

The Loxton Club provides full club facilities, such as the latest poker machines, X-lotto and Keno. All are welcome to sample the wide selection of outstanding meals, which are very reasonably priced. The dining area easily seats 320 people, although partitions are on hand to separate the room for more intimate gatherings.

Newly renovated facilities include the addition of a new bar, a considerable overhaul of both dining and function areas and the construction of a huge kids entertainment area (which is completely fenced, safety accredited and is totally undercover).
