Kings B&B Kangaroo Island

American River on Kangaroo Island is one of the most tranquil places in South Australia. It is a haven for those who love to fish and those who prefer to let someone else do the hard work for them. Margaret King has a stunning view of the area from her home. When Lisa asked her how long she had lived in the area she found that the Kings have lived that American River for 40 years and enjoy a lifestyle all of its own.

Margaret and her husband Ian now take guests at their home in a bed and breakfast apartment they have created at one end of their home. The apartment has it's own entrance and guests are treated every morning to breakfast in the conservatory that overlooks America River. With traditional breakfasts of fresh fruit and fresh King George Whiting available, it is easy to see why some people linger as long as three hours over the morning meal.

Guests have access to the garden and it is a short bush walk to the water plus Ian takes charter fishing trips by arrangement. The Kings Bed and Breakfast was given four and a half stars out of five by the RAA.
