Kangaroo Island - Roads less Travelled: In the Kangaroo Island region of South Australia

In this program on Kangaroo Island we do something a little different. KI is well known for its usual attractions like Seal Bay and Flinders Chase but this time, we take to some of the "roads less travelled" and visit some places you might not be so familiar with.

We experience Cape Forbin - a true sanctuary in a truly spectacular setting on the North Coast. Keith takes us around American River - where international visitors have been calling for almost two centuries. We go to Cape Borda which must have been one of the toughest postings for any lighthouse keeper. We get a backpackers' perspective on the natural beauty that is Kangaroo Island and we hear ripping yarns of French navigators, wild sealers and trappers and adventurers lost in the dense scrub on the Ravine Des Casoars Wilderness Trail.
