Henley on Sea had fame thrust on it in 1996. It was the restaurant Geoffrey Rush stumbled into as David Helfgott, the pianist in the film Shine. Geoffrey Rush won an Oscar, David Helfgott toured to huge audiences and Henley on Sea continues to shine as the quintessential Australian pavilion restaurant. Henley on Sea is a casually elegant, open-style brasserie located directly on Henley Beach. Access is from the beachfront just two doors left from the end of Henley Square. The restaurant seats 40 people plus a 20 seat private room perfect for dinner parties, business meetings and all other functions or celebrations. Bookings preferred please.
Cuisine is Modern Australian with a dash of passion, our chefs receive many compliments. Add in an excellent wine list with specialties from Jeanneret and Whistler and you're set for a feast.
