Fairfield House: Executive Family Accommodation located on Kangaroo Island in South Australia
Fairfield House is situated on the Western end of beautiful Emu Bay; one of Kangaroo Island’s most favoured holiday destinations.
Emu Bay, on the north central coast is approximately 20 km from the island’s major town (Kingscote) - just far enough away to provide the freedom you are looking for but still close enough to pick up the daily paper and enjoy a coffee “downtown” at Rodgers. Emu Bay’s location makes it one of the best to explore the island as all destinations are within an easy day trip by vehicle.
Fairfield House was built in 1997 and provides a high standard of executive family accommodation. It is sited on 3 acres of absolute coastal frontage and boasts a private beach within metres of the front door(s).
The layout of the house makes it ideal for 1 or 2 families with 2 queen bedrooms having views overlooking the bay. The other 2 bedrooms each have 4 single bunks, allowing comfortable accommodation for up to twelve people. Modern bathrooms separate the queen bedrooms and back bedrooms on both sides of the house.
The main feature of the house is the enormous kitchen / living area (we estimate to be approximately 80sq m!) which opens onto a substantial timber deck, both facilities of which enjoy breathtaking 200 degree views of Emu Bay. Fairfield House has other facilities to make your visit totally memorable including 2 TV’s, CD / radio player and a gas BBQ for outside entertaining.
Fishing is one of the popular activities at Emu Bay and Fairfield House is one of very few rental properties providing an aluminium dinghy with 15hp motor for hire for those with a current boat license (conditions apply). Beach walking is also popular and penguins can be heard and seen at night at the front of the property.
In excess of 50% of the people visiting Fairfield House are repeat customers who value their time spent with us.
The rate schedule for 2003 is as follows:
High season: (School and public holidays)
Up to 6 persons: $200 per night
Additional persons: $12.50 each per nightLow season: (All other times)
2 persons: $150.00 per night
Additional persons: $12.50 each per nightLinen is available if required @ $12.50 pp (includes dunas, sheets, pillow cases and towels).
