Gourmet to Go - at the Adelaide Central Market in the Adelaide City region of South Australia

Gourmet to Go was established on this site 19 years ago and is still going strong. Irene & Paul Noakes have recently taken ownership of the business and aren't planning any immediate big changes - so regulars can breathe a sigh of relief.

This double-fronted shop caters for the burgeoning gourmet take away market, where the trend is moving away from fast food. In a nutshell, it provides healthier, flavoursome, quality foods "to go"!

As new owners, we aim to bring you quality gourmet treats sourced predominantly throughout our state, although we intend to include the best gourmet products we can source within Australia. We squeeze over 170 different products into our shop and can boast distributorships of bread from the famous Apex Bakery in Tanunda and Brezel Bakehouse of Mount Barker. We also sell an array of sweet pastries from Mulots Patisserie and a wide selection of Maggie Beer products from her extensive range.

The displays present a huge number of savoury gourmet pies, pasties, sausage rolls, pork pies (the best in Australia, we reckon), scotch eggs, our popular zucchini slice and many types of patties and quiches. We cater for the vegetarians amongst us with various items, including delicious croquettes from the well-known Sarah's Café and also stock some vegan and gluten free products.

We make a selection of gourmet rolls up each morning so can assure you of the freshest, just delivered, breads with tempting fillings for your coffee break or lunch. Or, how about a giant pretzel, baguette or bread stick sprinkled with caraway seeds and rock salt to go with our pâté or dips?

If you have a sweet tooth, how about an almond croissant, mixed berry fruit pie or "Princess Prune" slice - to name but a few.

Did we mention we also stock bottled sauces, jams, biscuits, verjuice, kasundi and chutneys? There really is too much to list in any great detail - you will just have to come in and see for yourself!
